i just booked my flight...

for Los Angeles*!

The exhilaration of buying my ticket for LA is still with me. It's going to be my first time EVER in California.
While I wish I was going here, or here,
LA is going to be really fun and exciting because I am meeting S out there!
I have a couple of things I am excited about, curious about, and just plain confused about.
As a true blue east coaster (philly!), I know that growing up I associated LA with Hollywood.
Are they even the same thing? I know these are
incredibly stupid questions but I am just typing freely here.
I also associate LA with smog and names of beaches that may have appeared
on Hollister graphic tees of my youth.
Sorry, but I just do...

If you have read my blog or know me, you probably know that S is relocating to LA for work.
This is a time to celebrate the transition,
and just have some fun with lots of downtime, beach time, and exploring time.
The time that we will spend together just exploring
the area is probably what I look forward to most.

*oh, and I really won't be in LA, but the beaches nearby. even better!

so excited! enjoy your weekend. ciao, xo

  1. Check out Santa Monica while you're there, it's a great little beachy area of LA.

  2. LA is such a fun city. I grew up about 30 minutes north. Let me know if you need any recommendations for your time there. If you are into music, check out Amoeba Records on Sunset.

I'm very excited for you! I am actually from NorCal so I am 7 hours north of LA (if you are ever going up to Tahoe anytime soon, hit me up :). Even though I live in NorCal, I have been in SoCal a couple of times. If you are hitting up beaches, check out Hermosa beach. My aunt lived literally across the street from the beach so I visited the beach very often. It has a more relaxed atmosphere that I really enjoy; I highly suggest checking it out (plus some fun shops where you can get a nice new pair of shorts or a goofy snap back). Also, just a quick heads up yes the beaches mentioned on Hollister shirts are SoCal; however, the actual town is a farm town on the central coast (no where near those beaches :). So do not say I can't wait to go surfing in Hollister lol. Have a great time and take lots of photos!

  5. Enjoy your vacation there! I'm sure it's hard having your man move away but y'all will make it. Long distance isn't all that bad :)
